Digital photography combines traditional photography and the digital encoding that makes photos suitable for display on a computer. Digital photos can also be edited on a computer for publishing within a web page. Previously, it was possible to take traditional photos and scan them into digital files for computer editing.  This resulted in acceptable photo images for websites, but required additional file conversions and editing to create photos with file sizes suitable for rapid downloading of high quality images. 

Digital photos are created in a format easily edited for the Internet. Charges for these services vary greatly, according to the site visit time required, and photo editing in preparation for web publishing. However, the charges are far less than the cost of professional photography services plus computer editing.  If you have access to a digital camera, you can also take your own pictures, and we can edit them for web publishing. This provides additional savings by eliminating the need for a site visit.
